[Poem]

Hello! Can I ask you something about Korean poetry? I have read other Korean poems (shorter ones, good for beginners) in the past and I was curious how they are written. Are there any special rules or patterns the follow? In haiku, there are syllable counts; in English, there are rhyming patterns. Are there such patterns for Korean poetry?

No, we don’t have any specific rules like Haiku. However poem has to have rhyme and meter. In this poem, the first line of each paragraph looks similar.
너도 보이지 / 너도 들리지 / (그래도 그래도) 너는 모른다 gives rhyme and meter. In poem, you may see grammatically wrong expressions but it is allowed sometimes upon writer’s intention.
Also expressions that we hardly use in our real life are often used in poem. Things like 은부스러기 in this poem.
Use of mimetic words like 반짝반짝 is common in poem.
We’ve learned essential things in each poem when we were students but that seems to be the way of understanding the poem. :)
It’s been a year that I lastly learned poem in school so my explanation may humble but hope it helped you. :)
