The Korean Language Education Center (KLEC) integrates all language skills and emphasizes the development of practical language abilities through a rich assortment of learning-engaged activities. The KELC was established in 1969 aiming at teaching Korean language and culture to international students and overseas Koreans intending to learn Korean language as a foreign language or their second language so that they can have a good command of Korean and understand Korea correctly.

– The KLEC provides three types of programs as such;

1. Regular program: morning class, afternoon class, and advanced academic class

  • Morning class: 10 weeks / 20 hours per week / Mon ~ Fri /
    1,580,000 won
  • Afternoon class: same with the morning class but tuition is 10 % cheaper than morning class/
    1,420,000 won
  • Advanced academic class: 10 weeks / 16 hours per week / Mon ~ Thu (9:00 to 13:00) /
    1,260,000 won
    * students can participate in various cultural activities

2. Special program: evening class, 5-week summer program, and 3-week intensive program

  • Evening class: 10 weeks / 6 hours per week / Mon, Thu (3 hours each) /
    580,000 won
  • 5-week summer program: 5 weeks / 20 hours per week / Mon ~ Fri ( 9:00 to 13:00) /
    1,400,000 won
  • 3-week intensive program: 3 weeks / 20 hours per week / Mon ~ Fri (09:00 to 13:00) /
    700,000 won

3. Korean language teachers training program

  • Regular program in the spring and fall sessions
    – Each session: 14 weeks / 130 hours in total / Mon & Wed (6:00 PM to 9:30 PM), Fri (3:30 PM to 9:30 PM) /
    1,420,000 won
